The Team

Tonya Gayle Lunsford, M.Ed., LPCC

I’ve worked with children and adults ages 5 and up who are navigating a wide range of challenges, including substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, ODD, bipolar disorder, mood and personality disorders, and identity-related concerns within the LGBTQ+ community. I’ve also served as the Estill County Specialty Court Counselor, advocating for individuals in Drug Court and supporting them through their recovery journeys. I truly enjoy working with and welcoming all individuals, no matter where they are in life.

For the past four years, I’ve worked in community mental health, applying therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. I integrate these approaches into both individual and group sessions to help clients process their challenges and move toward their goals. One of my favorite reminders is, “Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone” (Lisa Olivera, 2022). You don’t have to walk this path alone—reach out, and let’s start working together toward your healing and the life you deserve.

Miranda Gill, LMFT

I received my MS Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. In my practice, I adopt a compassionate and client-centered approach, recognizing that each individual, couple, or family is unique. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to tailor my approach to the specific needs and goals of my clients.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD and trauma, communication skills, parenting challenges, and conflict resolution. My goal is to guide clients toward better understanding, improved connection, and increased emotional well-being.

I create a safe, non-judgmental space where open communication and self-discovery can flourish. I am deeply committed to the well-being of my clients, and I believe that the therapeutic journey is a collaborative effort. Together, we can explore your challenges, uncover your strengths, and work towards positive change. I am here to support you every step of the way.

I’ve wanted to be a therapist since high school, remembering how tough those years could be and wanting to be someone kids and teens could talk to. Now, as a school therapist, I love working with such bright and creative students and watching their growth. Many face stress from home, school, and social situations, so I focus on giving them a safe space to express themselves. I also work closely with teachers, staff, and parents—meeting weekly and sharing updates—to ensure each student is supported from all sides.

For parents concerned about their child’s mental health, I recommend starting a conversation and considering therapy as an added layer of support. Just having someone to talk to at school can make a big difference. To stay balanced in my role, I make time for self-care through hobbies like reading, painting, and spending time with family and friends. These moments help me recharge and stay present for the students I serve.
